The Story
Lisa & Gary met in Portsmouth at Roger’s Brown during Happy Hour in January 2019. The place was packed, but the bartender gave Lisa & her friends seats at the bar. The man next to Lisa turned to her and said “I love your skin.” And so began their love story!
After a trip to Disney World for New Years 2020, they couldn’t spend a day apart any longer, so they moved in together, growing closer throughout the pandemic. Gary had started talking about marriage just 8 months into dating, so Lisa already knew he was serious about their future. On October 10th, 2020 – a day after Lisa’s birthday – they went shopping for an engagement ring.
The Wedding

Opting for an intimate ceremony in the backyard of their Chesapeake home, Lisa & Gary pledged their eternal love, surrounded by their blended families and closest friends. Their afternoon wedding continued well past sunset, with Lisa & Gary introduced as husband & wife with the Beyonce song ‘Crazy in Love’, with later tracks including Happy by Pharrell Williams, All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor, and Pony by Ginuwine.
