Kate & Jamal: A Simple yet Elegant Wedding at The Dominion Club

The Story

Kate & Jamal were set up by their very own cupids Janelle and Kylan for a double date. In true modern love fashion, Kate first creeped on Jamal’s social media before agreeing to a double date.

“The next thing I know, we’re all awkwardly hanging out the next day. We went for food and I realized that I thought Kate was cute and I wanted to get to know her more.” -Jamal

The double date led to an peer-pressured kiss and the exchange of phone numbers, followed by staying up all night on the phone together, planning out their true first date. After a summer of hanging out and falling in love, Jamal threw a party where they made their relationship official and began a long distance relationship once school started up again.

“I started to realize how incomplete I felt when we were apart.” -Jamal

Jamal spent months creating a proposal plan and a ring he “poured every ounce of thoughtfulness into”. Kate thought she was recording a video with a friend until Jamal popped out, surrounded by their friends & family.

The Wedding

Knowing quick decision making is stressful, Kate & Jamal heard about Jenna’s wedding coordination service from a friend. They wanted their wedding to feel relaxed, simplistic and elegant, and their priority was to eat good food and see their family dancing.
