Juli & Ben: A Christmas Wedding at Historic Rosement Manor

Juli and Ben had their moody holiday wedding at the Historic Rosemont Manor in Berryville, VA. The chandeliers, fireplace, and Christmas decor the year prior caught Juli’s eye and helped seal the deal for them on this beautiful venue.

Juli’s known Jenna since elementary school. Despite going to different colleges and landing in different cities post-grad, we jumped right into the planning process as old friends.

“HIRE A COORDINATOR. I was having the worst time trying to navigate planning on my own and having someone to do the paperwork and approval processes let me see the light at the end of the tunnel. On the day of, I had absolutely no worries and was never made aware of any problems happening behind the scenes. Jenna really allowed me to let all of my worries go and enjoy our wedding day.” -Juli

The day started off with hair by Kendra Orndorff and makeup by Elzi Camacho. After getting ready, and a meaningful and tear-filled first look with Juli’s dad, Juli and Ben shared their own first look. At sunset, the couple’s ceremony began with a handfasting component, during which Ben and Juli shared their vows with one another. This was Ben’s favorite part of the day.

Our favorite part of the day was Juli’s transformation. During cocktail hour she had Kendra chop off 10 inches of her hair — a bold move for a wedding day, but executed flawlessly! Post transformation, they were introduced, indulged in dinner and desserts by R. Roots Catering, then danced so hard they “had whiplash for three days!”

The couple says they “really wanted to make sure to involve people we knew and loved as well as small business owners in our vendor list. The florist was a good friend, the photographer and caterer were small business owners and the officiant was a lifelong friend of the groom. When it came time to needing a coordinator, there was no question of who to call.” We are so honored to have worked with Juli and Ben and love looking back on their special day!
