Sometimes the greatest love stories start with a cliche – like meeting at a bar! Tatiana & Keith both found their second chance at love with each other, then created a beautiful blended family with Tatiana’s young son, Theodore.
In Boston for the National Hurling tournament for Keith’s hurling team, they had a fancy dinner and walk in the park near the Harbor. While walking back to the Airbnb, Keith got down on one knee and asked Tatiana to marry him.
Tatiana & Keith wanted their wedding to feel personal and to feel like Richmond. They choose The Valentine, the first museum of Richmond, nestled in the heart of the city with a contemporary 1,750 sq ft auditorium, picturesque green garden & courtyard, and a stone terrace featuring vintage neon signs from Richmond businesses. As a wedding planner herself, Tatiana has seen her fair share of wedding venues and chose The Valentine for their intimate ceremony and reception.
Tatiana did a first look with both Keith and her son, Theodore. Little Theo walked his mom down the aisle to the song Follow You by Echosmith. She later had her bouquet preserved by Pressed In Books.
At the reception inside the auditorium, guests signed a vintage record player instead of a traditional guest book. The newlyweds shared their first dance to Shake the Frost by Tyler Childers, played on the same record player. They cut the cake using the same engraved knife as Keith’s parents at their wedding over 50 years ago.
